2010 WINTER OLYMPICS
The 2010 WINTER OLYMPICS
Not too bad. Team USA earned its first medal in the Nordic Combined event with Johnny Spillane capturing the silver medal.

I saw the cross country portion of the event and like auto-racing the best part was the end. Johnny Spillane led for most of the race but French skier Jason Lamy Chappuis took the lead the only time it counts — crossing the finish line.

The other event of interest to The Wisconsin Skier the men’s freestyle mogul skiing event Bryon Wilson netted Team USA a bronze medal. This event also netted Team Canada with its first home-team Olympic gold medal with Alexandre Bilodeau winning the event. I liked watching the freestyle mogul events and I hope to take that inspiration to the mogul field at Blackjack in a couple of weeks.

I watched the pairs figure skating short program event too, but since I don’t skate it is not of primary interest to myself. However I was disappointed the American couple lost out, but of course that is expected.

Good Stuff!
