Bring Back the Adventure Card!

The ski resorts located in what we refer to as big snow country used to participate in a joint marketing adventure. In the pre-season they would sell what they titled an adventure card. Purchasing one was the same as purchasing one lift ticket at each of the participating resorts.

What ever happened to that?

Big Snow Country Bound?

@indianheadmtn Posted some interesting tweets this morning.

Are you Big Snow Country bound this weekend or the next? Big Snow Country is the region up on Lake Superior’s southern coast. Ironwood, Hurley, Bessemer, and Wakefield while not on Lake Superior’s immediate shore are definitely downwind from that shore and receive plentiful snow from Lake Superior.

Mad About March Skiing

On Indianhead

Indianhead is one of the ski resorts in the area known as Big Snow Country. Big Snow Country is downwind from Lake Superior and usually benefits from generous dumpings of lake-effect snow.

We arrived on the later side of Saturday. We parked our vehicle close to the lodge to unload and did so. It was definitely lunch time when we arrived and we had to hunt around for a place to sit down to change into our ski gear.
