The title of this post says it all. Ski Brule could not fight the weather anymore and closed down.
I remember maybe ten years ago Upnorth skiing around about now. We left for Ski Brule and there were people on the lake ice fishing. We had a pitcher of beer and chili dogs on the Homestead Deck and a woman looked at us and said: chili dogs and beer — happy guys, indeed times like those I would purr if I could. We finished our skiing and returned to the cabin and noted the location where that crew was ice fishing earlier in the day was open water. I do not remember how much longer Ski Brule was open back then, but it was very open at this time that year.
This was an early ending the 2009-2010 season. Happy ski dreams!
Now that the Olympics are over, the local hills have plenty of snow.
