I am starting to hear of them. Now, I am talking about the Upper Midwest so your mileage may vary.
I have heard of a number of differing scenarios one being bitter cold and little snow (BOOOOO) to one with colder than normal and about average snow (okay) to moderate temps and a fair amount of snow. The last two sound like a solid and continuous snow cover on the ground. That is what I like best of all.
This is the best, otherwise the blah grass shows and our flowers and trees have less (if any) protection from the snow.
As we all know, all we can do is guess at such long term prognostications, but here is hoping.
